newest non-fashion obsession

no, its not the Sony camera that i've been wanting so i can stop relying on polyvore to explain my fashion choices of le jour, but a great book! Private by Kate Brian came out, possibly, four years ago? however, i discovered it not too long ago. from the rich details of Reed Brennan's life at Easton Academy, to the scandalous occurences, everything about this book screams "must read!" its totally earned its place into my extremely useful new gray tote.

the warm and comfy

the warm and comfy

my cableknit sweater, though not the same as this Vince sweater, actually belonged to my grandmother. i never knew she had fashion sense, but this sweater was warm, cute, and cozy. perfection! then were my new brown leather boots that i got in WalMart in the summer, but never wore, for $3 rocked this outfit. It looks a lot like the one above, but darker and with a shiny buckle that reminds me oddly of a leperchaun :P... the gold Moncler Gamme Rouge jacket is like my own gold one, which has been my go to jacket for the past two some years, and so are my perfectly soft gloves.

randoms

in my new year's school bag:

1) pink folder with maroon divider - i basically love the mix of the colors and the divider folder keeps me organized... 2) school planner - its basically my life when it comes to school work. 3) white pencil case - its the sliding kind. i have two wooden pencils, one mechanical pencil, a pen, a highlighter, my Chapstick, and a pencil sharpener. 4) money pouch - it basically has a mini toothbrush/toothepaste combo that i've never used in my life... 5) my pink TI-84 Texas Instruments graphing calculator - it helped me into honors math. enough said ;) 6) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkhaban by J.K. Rowling - I absolutely positively LOVE the Harry Potter books. Like, not joking. Especially this one (the third). 7) cell phone - Samsung Solstice. its an elegant purple color. i love it. 8) lastly, my iPod Touch - its one of my prized possesions keeping me perpetually organized. i totally recommend to anyone who doesnt have that or the iPhone. goodnight!

the school girl...quite like me tomorrow

the school girl...quite like me tomorrow

unfortunetly, the holidays are over and school starts tomorrow. i know. fun. kay, to be optimistic about the new year, i enjoyed today by picking out some clothes. unfortunate for me, i don't have a good camera, so i had to rely on polyvore (my new obsession!) to show a classic look...

Alexander Wang cardigan - mine looks quite like that, except white without buttons. its a sweater J Brand jeans - self explanatory. i am really not a skirt-dress girl Miss Sixty bag - i got a look alike for Christmas. Imagine the same grayness...without the words on it CoverGirl mascara - i finally get to try it out. maybe i'll blog about it later? Ugg boots - though i really want Uggs i still don't have it. My $2 WalMart "fake Uggs" will have to do :(.. okay..now i'm ready to get off of polyvore :)

made for the model...or anyone at a party

made for the model...or anyone at a party

truly for cocktail/nighttime parties, I love the one shoulder dress; its different from normal strap dresses. the cage heels and clutch makes the whole look edgier. I personally love the Oscar de la Renta bangle cuff thing!

dress Halston Heritage; shoes Camilla Skovgaard; clutch Proenza Schouler; cuff Oscar de la Renta

my kind of outfit...

my kind of outfit...

this is something i'd wear because its pretty casual, with the Alexander Chang cardigan, 7 for all mankind skinny jeans, and Michael Kors boots. The little things, like the sunglasses (Oliver Peoples), the rose stud earrings, the Diane von Furstenberg cami, and the Givenchy tote "chic-ify" it.

remembering two zero one zero...
